Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring a KS or compact RN license and BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 20-bed Cardiac ICU within a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill cardiac patients
• Level 1 trauma center environment
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Participation in de-escalation and nonviolent crisis intervention training is required
• Orientation provided for on-site components of crisis management training
• Every other weekend coverage is mandatory
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
• COVID vaccination is no longer required
• Only one active application per candidate is allowed across positions in the system

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• CPI or MOAB High Risk training (online component prior to start; on-site component at orientation)
• All candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and US address
