Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 3 years of OR circulator experience and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital operating room setting
• Role involves circulator duties for operative procedures
• Shift is Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 8-hour shifts
• On-call rotation is required, approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 5 weeks
• Patient care plans must be assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated in coordination with the surgical team
• Operating room RNs are responsible for both scrubbing and circulating duties
• Prepares the OR and ensures all equipment and supplies are functional and available
• Adheres to aseptic techniques and surgical standards
• Serves as a liaison for patients, families, and the surgical team
• Position requires adherence to department admissions and intraoperative care protocols
• Assignments may include communication and team coordination responsibilities

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license with no pending status
• Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room circulator experience required
• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the specialty area
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA required
• CPI certification mandated by position
• BSN is highly desired
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references verifying recent hospital experience
• Must possess a US Social Security Number
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; locals within 50 miles are not eligible
