Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent CT experience for a night shift position utilizing Epic EMR and operating multi-detector CT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based setting in the CT department
• Primary work with infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Night shift schedule includes Sundays 4:00 PM–4:30 AM and Mondays/Tuesdays 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with possible variations
• Uses multi-slice CT scanners and advanced imaging software including 3D post-processing
• Epic charting system is required
• Candidates may be required to float to an affiliated hospital nearby as needed
• Performs all ranges of CT exams, including protocol adjustments and patient positioning to minimize artifacts and ensure high image quality
• Assesses cross-sectional anatomy and pathology and generates required documentation in PACS
• Responsible for patient and personal safety, following universal precautions and reporting unsafe conditions
• Participates in quality control, equipment maintenance, and maintains a clean work environment
• May participate in training radiology students, residents, and clinical research
• RTO must be submitted with consideration and is limited to 2 weeks
• Return staff must have a six-month gap before reapplying as a traveler
• No mile radius restriction; local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT (CT) required; if not certified in CT, candidates must have ARRT (R), ARRT (N), or NMTCB, and attain CT certification within 6 months
• Active Oregon Board of Medical Imaging license required if applicable
• Valid CPR certification
• Proficient with IV/Angio-cath starts and administration of contrast media via power injection
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Two recent supervisor references from the past 24 months required for consideration
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required with no exemptions allowed
