Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Critical Care Float RN with current MI license, med-surg and ICU experience, and required ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is a float RN role covering both ICU and med-surg units in a hospital setting
• Float RN may be assigned to ICU units such as TCU, CSU, MICU, and NCCU, as well as a variety of med-surg units
• Shift is day, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
• ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 2-3:1
• Med-surg nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-6:1
• Every other weekend is required
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Full orientation is provided during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Holiday time off is limited to one holiday request; cannot request both the holiday and adjacent days
• First-time travelers with appropriate experience are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active MI RN license
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in med-surg and/or ICU settings
• Must complete med-surg and critical care/ICU skills checklists
• Willingness and ability to float between ICU and med-surg units
