Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a MI RN license and proficiency with IV medication drips.

Responsibilities

• Assignment is in the Medical ICU within a hospital Progressive Care Unit
• Night shift position, working 7PM to 7AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Patient care includes stepdown/telemetry level needs and IV drips
• Travelers may be required to float to a sister hospital nearby
• Online modules must be completed onsite and passed prior to start date
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
• Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screen processing
• Request for time off must be submitted with application; further requests after offer are subject to manager approval
• Travelers must report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment to assignment

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• At least 2 recent years of experience in a PCU, stepdown, or telemetry setting
• Current AHA certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Proficiency in administering and monitoring medication drips
