Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg position on a 30-bed unit, requiring a KS or compact RN license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Float to similar units within Ascension Hospitals in Wichita as needed
• Use of Cerner electronic medical record system
• Opportunity to serve as charge nurse if needed
• Ceil blue scrubs required for the unit
• All travelers may be asked to float to like units based on facility needs
• Adherence to the facility’s radius rule for local candidates, with locals considered at a reduced rate
• COVID vaccination is no longer required
• Candidates may be considered for extension, with discussions encouraged 45 days prior to assignment end
• Only one submission to Ascension positions system-wide is allowed at a time

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license with primary source verification via Nursys within 30 days prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training preferred
• Must have a US Social Security Number and a US home address
• Copy of Driver’s License required
• Two professional references are required
