Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVICU role requiring recent Level I trauma CVICU experience and relevant certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardio Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Treats pediatric patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs
- Level I trauma facility experience required
- Provide nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac or complex conditions
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team and interact closely with patients’ families
- Document patient responses, administer medications, and assist with diagnostic procedures
- Must not live within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Only candidates who have not been employed within the last six months at the facility may be considered for rehire
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required according to unit needs
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma or eNLC compact RN license required
- Current BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required
- Minimum one year of CVICU nursing experience in a Level I trauma setting required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN or higher preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to apply advanced nursing techniques and coordinate care
- Basic computer skills required
