Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVICU role requiring recent Level I trauma CVICU experience and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardio Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Treats pediatric patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs
• Level I trauma facility experience required
• Provide nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac or complex conditions
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team and interact closely with patients’ families
• Document patient responses, administer medications, and assist with diagnostic procedures
• Must not live within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Only candidates who have not been employed within the last six months at the facility may be considered for rehire
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required according to unit needs

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or eNLC compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum one year of CVICU nursing experience in a Level I trauma setting required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN or higher preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to apply advanced nursing techniques and coordinate care
• Basic computer skills required
