Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position with day shifts and a requirement for a current NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in an Operating Room (OR) setting within a hospital environment
Day shift schedule from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
13-week travel contract assignment
Direct involvement in surgical procedures and perioperative patient care
Provide nursing care in the perioperative setting, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient management
Must be detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of recent OR nursing experience required
Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required, with certifications valid for duration of assignment
No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital

Cons

Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
