Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of MRI experience, BLS and ARRT (or ARMRIT) certification for evening shifts at a Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Department: MRI
• Night shift schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM (4x10-hour shifts)
• Patient population includes acute and STAT cases such as stroke and spinal cord compression
• Procedures require IV starts, administering contrast, and use of Siemens and Phillips MRI equipment
• Uses Epic EMR
• On-call one night per week, including one summer and one winter holiday (on-call only)
• Free parking available
• Black scrubs required
• No local candidates accepted within a 70-mile radius
• Perform all clinical MRI scans and related procedures, including acute and STAT studies
• Participate in a holiday on-call rotation, with scheduled coverage for one summer and one winter holiday
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Pending license may be accepted at manager’s discretion; license required if applicable
• RTO must be requested up front and travelers may be required to participate in holiday and weekend rotation

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience required
• BLS and ARRT certification required; ARMRIT will be considered
• IV start and contrast administration experience required
• Experience with Siemens and Phillips MRI equipment strongly preferred
• Ability to handle high acuity, STAT imaging studies
• Two professional references from supervisors within the past two years are required for consideration
