Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) and BLS certifications and at least 1 year of recent computed tomography experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital radiology department specializing in CT scan procedures
• Assignment is 13 weeks, with shifts Friday through Monday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• No call required for this position
• Department is equipped with three CT scanners (Siemens Drive, Siemens Force, Canon Prime SP)
• Procedures include CT scans on all body parts, pediatrics, cardiac scans, and various interventions such as biopsies, drains, and ablations
• Average caseload ranges from 30 to 40 scans per 10-hour shift
• Epic EMR and McKesson PACS are used; Epic experience preferred
• Only scheduled to work at the main campus, no floating to other locations
• Work under the supervision of a radiology lead technologist and supervisor during weekday daytime hours
• Support staff includes a CNA for department assistance
• Radiologist is onsite for guidance and consultation
• Must be available for holiday shifts as needed, unless otherwise agreed upon
• Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• No blocked or special schedule requests are accepted for this assignment
• Blue scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active ARRT (CT) and BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CT technologist experience
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred but not required
• Siemens CT scanner experience preferred
• Must be able to start IVs
• Excellent patient care and procedural skills required
• 2 professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• License required if applicable
