Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU & CCU combined unit position requiring a MA RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a combined ICU and CCU unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pulmonary, MICU, SICU, CCU, and CTS cases
• Unit has 20-24 beds with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 as needed
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating required to PCU/CC step down unit with a 3:1 ratio as needed within skillset
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting with prior experience preferred
• Special procedures may include moderate sedation for endoscopy and bronchoscopy at the bedside
• Duties may include providing care in both ICU and CCU with cross-coverage to step down units as needed
• Scrub color for this unit is navy blue
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior ICU experience required
• Experience in a mixed specialty intensive care setting preferred
• Previous Cerner charting experience preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exceptions accepted
• No artificial nails allowed while on duty
