Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT R and CT certification and proficiency in Epic charting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined radiology department
• Perform general CT scans including chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, fluoroscopy, pediatric exams, trauma cases, and CTAs with post processing
• 12-hour day shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Exposure to a mix of adult and pediatric patients
• Uses Epic for charting
• A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment
• Responsibilities include minimizing radiation exposure, producing high-quality images, and efficiently handling trauma and complex patient scenarios
• Participate in department planning, process improvement, meetings, and assist with training new associates and students
• May have access to secured medication storage and be involved in drug handling processes
• Must provide or obtain a personal radiation badge to accurately track exposure
• Permanent staff must be separated from this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment

Requirements

• Current ARRT R and CT certification is required
• AHA certification required and must not expire before start date
• Active license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of CT Tech experience required
• Associate's Degree required
• At least 1 year of recent experience in the CT specialty
• Proficient communication, problem-solving, independent judgment, and decision-making skills
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
