Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Medical ICU position, requiring a MA RN license and 2 years of pediatric ICU experience with ventilator management.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Pediatric Medical ICU within an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes critically ill pediatric patients requiring ventilator management and inotropy
- Shifts are 3x12 hours, including both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) rotations with potential for straight nights
- 50/50 day and night rotation required, with every other weekend coverage
- Permanent day or night shifts may be considered with increased weekend requirements
- No on-call requirement
- Floating may be required to CICU, MSICU, and NICU units as needed
- Magnet-designated, trauma level I, Level III/IV NICU environment
- Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Scrubs in any solid color are permitted
- Night shift parking is free; day and evening parking available at discounted rates with shuttle
- Every other weekend shifts are required
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted, with a different rate structure
Requirements
- Current and active MA RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent pediatric ICU experience, including ventilator management and inotropy
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
