Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Special Care Nursery position requiring an active MA RN license and experience with neonates.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the Special Care Nursery of a hospital setting
  • Works with a neonatal patient population
  • 36-hour rotating schedule with 3x12hr shifts, including both day and night shifts based on unit needs
  • Every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
  • Uses EPIC charting system and experience is preferred
  • Flu vaccination is required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Parking may require public lots with daily fees, and validated parking may not be available
  • Must be willing to rotate between days and nights according to unit needs
  • Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to receive the standard pay rate
  • Dress code and scrub requirements are per hospital policy

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • Current NRP certification required
  • Primary source verification of RN license through NURSYS and BON is mandatory
  • No minimum years of experience required
