Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring prior cath lab and interventional radiology experience, with a TX or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Cath Lab setting
• Scheduled for five 8-hour day shifts per week, with start times between 6:00 and 8:00 am depending on case load
• On-call is required, with a 7 days on/7 days off rotation and 24/7 availability during on-call weeks
• Cases include STEMI support, vascular emergencies, pacemaker, Impella and balloon pump insertions, and neuro or interventional radiology procedures
• Requires circulating experience in the Cath Lab
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• High Spanish-speaking patient population; translators are available for non-Spanish speakers
• Required pre-start training includes 4-8 hours of non-billable modules
• Candidates within a 50-mile radius are considered local
• Any time off (RTO) must be requested at the time of application
• Disclosure of any prior legal action is required at the time of consideration

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license, or eligibility with a pending license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• BSN required
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a cardiac cath lab, interventional radiology, or neuro intervention setting
• Must have previous circulating experience in a cath lab
• At least 1 year of hospital-based acute care experience required
• One supervisory reference must be provided
