Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Medical Surgical Telemetry position in Michigan with night shift hours.

Responsibilities

Work in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Progressive Care Unit caring for adult patients with telemetry monitoring
Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week contract assignment
Provide nursing care and monitoring for adults in a PCU/telemetry environment
COVID vaccination card is required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active MI RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of PCU or telemetry nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
Cannot live within 60 miles of the facility
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere
Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
