Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Telemetry Float Pool role requiring a valid OH or compact RN license and recent cardiac stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital stepdown float pool setting
• Care for cardiac and progressive care patients
• Responsibilities may include floating to multiple units as needed
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating days and nights (variable, D/N rotate 7am-7:30pm / 7pm-7:30am)
• Assignment requires working at least every other holiday
• Assignment may require floating to meet operational needs
• Experience with PCU/progressive care is preferred but not required
• Must submit to testing during orientation and achieve an acceptable score
• Hour submission uses Qualivis – Lotus system
• Assignments at any location may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a six-month break required before returning

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 18 months recent cardiac stepdown experience required
• At least 18 months of permanent experience in specialty required prior to travel
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments must be passed during orientation
