Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position requiring a MA RN license and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit of a teaching hospital
• Unit includes three pods: Pod C (labor, 16 beds), Pod B (high risk, 11 beds), and Pod A (postpartum, 11 beds)
• Supports approximately 4300 deliveries annually and includes a 3-room OR for cesarean sections
• Day and night shifts available: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Work schedule consists of 3x12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required
• Night shift weekend requirement is Friday and Saturday nights
• One on-call shift required every 6 weeks
• Nurses provide care for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Collaboration with medical residents and attending physicians is expected
• Team environment with supportive staff in a high-volume unit
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience preferred
• Experience working with high-risk obstetric patients preferred
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Current CPR certification required
• Experience working in a teaching hospital setting is preferred
