Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring two years of acute care experience and valid ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and EKG/Telemetry certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes acute care Med/Surg and telemetry cases
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs and to sister facilities
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Must provide care to acute Med/Surg and telemetry patients
• May be required to float to other affiliated facilities as needed
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off is allowed, with no holidays or blackout dates off
• Returning staff must have been away from the facility for at least one year to be eligible
• Two professional references and copies of certifications are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG/Telemetry certification required prior to start
• Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and a current utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address required
• Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Pending state licenses will not be considered
