Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with ARDMS and AHA BLS certifications for a day shift role performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ultrasonography department in a hospital setting
• Day shifts are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM, four days a week
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call required once every 4–5 weeks
• Position involves all general and vascular ultrasound exams except for ABIs and segmental pressure studies
• No echo or breast procedures involved
• Uses Epic EMR for charting; Epic experience preferred
• Responsibilities include operation of all ultrasound imaging equipment, patient positioning, procedure performance, and ensuring image quality for interpretation
• Role requires careful adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Returning employees must have separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility
• Candidates are required to report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment as part of onboarding

Requirements

• ARDMS registry required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Associate's Degree required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in the submitted specialty required; 2 years preferred
• Experience performing all general and vascular sonography except ABIs and segmental pressures
• Must have an active license if applicable
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
