Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in both CT and X-ray, including prior travel assignment experience.

Responsibilities

• Primarily CT technologist responsibilities with additional general X-ray duties
• Varied schedule including Friday/Saturday 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• May include call responsibilities as determined by the department
• Work with CR, DR, CT, PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred
• Responsible for both primary diagnostic radiology and CT scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections
• May be assigned independent responsibilities or instruction duties within the department
• Maintains compliance with infection control standards and patient confidentiality per department and OSHA guidelines
• May be required to take on additional duties within scope of practice during low census
• Must demonstrate strong communication skills in written, verbal, and Tiger Text formats
• Annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation is required
• No schedule accommodations or alternative shift arrangements will be made
• Requests for time off must be submitted with profile and cannot exceed 5 days
• Scrub attire requirements will follow departmental policy

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent CT/X-ray experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience of 6 months or more required
• Current ARRT certification required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Active Massachusetts state license required if applicable
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers with an agency and those working concurrent per diem/prn assignments will not be considered
