Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical ICU night shift position in Michigan, requiring open heart training and current MI licensure.

Responsibilities

Work in a Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU) hospital setting
12-hour night shifts from 6:42 PM to 7:12 AM
Required to work three weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday)
No on-call requirements
Uses Epic EMR, with experience preferred
Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment and integrated pre- and post-operative critical care functions
Role involves organizing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
Limited to five days of requested time off
Local travelers may complete only one travel assignment

Requirements

Active Michigan RN license required
Two or more years of recent SICU experience required
Open heart training required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA required
Travel nursing experience highly preferred
Epic experience preferred
Not accepting candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility
