Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a PA or compact RN license, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in EPIC.

Responsibilities

Hospital-based Med/Surg unit
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays, with no RTO between Christmas and New Year's
Will float to all Med/Surg floors and potentially to rehab
May care for COVID patients
Uses EPIC for charting
Candidates must complete modules prior to start, which take approximately 5-6 hours
Work environment is tobacco and fragrance free
Must be able to care for both Med/Surg and rehab patients as needed
Expected to follow hospital policies regarding patient care and safety
A clinical assessment will be conducted prior to acceptance
RTO must not exceed 7 days for the contract duration

Requirements

Active PA or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
EPIC charting experience required
No adverse license actions permitted
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel rates
