Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry Observation Unit role requiring FL or compact RN license and vasoactive drip experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Observation Unit within a short-term acute care and teaching hospital setting
• Assigned to the 2 East Clinical Decision Unit with a focus on MS/Telemetry patients
• Must be able to float within scope to three area hospitals located within a 20-mile radius
• Night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Utilizes EPIC charting system; EPIC experience preferred
• Vasoactive drip management is required
• Facility is smoke free, and a negative nicotine (cotinine) test is required
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly prior to assignment start
• All requested time off must be submitted up front; time off requests after submission may not be approved
• Scrub color is white
• Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces
• Assignments at this health system cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, and a 6-month break is required between assignments
• Nicotine-free policy strictly enforced for all employees

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 18 months of acute care/telemetry nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Vasoactive drip experience required
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS at time of submission; NIHSS prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must provide two references for consideration
• Pending licenses are not accepted
