Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring recent MS/Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Rotating day and night shifts from 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am with variable scheduling based on hospital needs
• Position follows a 3x12 hour shift schedule
• Patient population includes adults requiring medical-surgical and telemetry care
• Must be able to work at least every other holiday
• Assignments at any one health system location may not exceed 18 consecutive months
• A minimum of 6 months must pass before eligible for another assignment at the same health system
• Wear appropriate professional attire as determined by the unit
• Teamwork and flexibility are essential to meet the operational needs of the unit

Requirements

• Active OH or compact state RN license in hand prior to consideration
• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Tele experience, including permanent and/or travel roles
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Required to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
