Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring labor and postpartum experience with night shifts and a valid MN RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital with level 3 trauma designation
• Serves antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, including mother/baby couplets and Level 1 nursery
• Experience with LDRP and NICU Level III preferred
• Shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Every third weekend required
• May be placed on call depending on unit needs
• Floating required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Epic (Excellian) charting system is used
• Scrubs will be provided by the unit
• Responsibilities include caring for laboring, postpartum, and mother/baby patients in accordance with unit protocols
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Free parking is available in any unrestricted space
• Completion of pre-employment modules required before start date
• Travelers must be separated from previous staff roles at the facility for at least 3 months prior to consideration
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days per contract
• Holiday coverage may be required per department needs

Requirements

• Active MN RN license or eligibility with pending license accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of strong L&D and postpartum nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience in antepartum, L&D, Level 1 nursery, LDRP, and mother/baby unit required
• NICU Level III experience preferred
• Willingness and ability to float within scope as required
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• At least one recent supervisor reference required for consideration
