Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a night shift, requiring a compact or TN RN license and Med/Surg Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a focus on ortho and spine patients
• Night shifts with standard schedules of 3x12 or 4x12 hours (18:30–07:00)
• Every other weekend is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units is required
• Patient population includes ortho, spine, and general med/surg cases
• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes required online CBLs
• Expected to support and educate nursing students as part of the team
• Holiday coverage and participation in education initiatives may be required
• Travelers may have 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
• No local candidates will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Tele and Med/Surg nursing experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
