Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and strong stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital PCU setting
• Provides care for progressive/stepdown patient population
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Works every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Required to wear royal blue scrubs (not provided)
• Minimal to no time off requests will be approved during the assignment
• Candidates residing less than 30 miles from the facility are not eligible
• Local rate applies for those residing within 31-50 miles of the facility; locals will be accepted at this rate
• Royal blue scrub dress code is enforced
• Holiday coverage is required per unit scheduling

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 3 years recent stepdown or progressive care experience required
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and advanced FM skills
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver’s license and proof of residence required for rate eligibility determination
• Previous travel experience preferred
