Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a TX or compact RN license and strong flexibility to float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Must be flexible to float to another campus or different floor as needed
• Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
• Patient care focuses on labor and delivery cases
• Previous permanent staff must have separated at least 1 year prior to be eligible
• Mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including for Marijuana and CBD products
• Non-local applicants only; local candidates not accepted
• References from two supervisors within the last three years required
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Orientation includes 6-8 hours of modules
• Completion of documentation is required by Thursday 2 pm CST prior to start, with some flexibility

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience required; 3 years preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
• Must live at least 150 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers accepted
• Completion of modules during orientation required
• Must complete required lab screenings within 72 hours of offer acceptance
