Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and flexibility to float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• May be required to float to another campus or floor based on staffing needs
• Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
• Completion of online modules during orientation, typically 6-8 hours
• Drug screen performed onsite upon arrival; positive results, including marijuana, result in automatic cancellation
• Return travelers must be separated from previous perm staff assignment for at least one year
• Two recent supervisor references from the last three years required
• Travelers should avoid all substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products
• Local candidates within a 150-mile radius will not be accepted

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred
• Must live at least 150 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Must be able to complete lab requirements within 72 hours of offer acceptance or have a plan in place
