Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with BLS, ACLS, and trauma certification for a day shift travel assignment in Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital
• Unit has 26 beds with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity and post-CABG patients
• Care includes trauma, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
• Utilizes Meditech EMR system
• Equipment includes balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia therapy, and ECMO
• Standard ICU procedures performed including chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips
• Day shift staffed by 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech
• Responsibilities include managing high acuity ICU patients, performing advanced procedures, and collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team
• Unit offers new technology and equipment for patient care
• Positive, engaged, and efficient work culture is valued
• Personal protective equipment and dress code must be followed per hospital policy
• Only US candidates are eligible; Canadian SSN not accepted

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license in hand for consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN
• Preferred certification: NIH Stroke Scale
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and DOB required for consideration
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
