Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with night shifts and COVID-19 vaccination required.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital
- Patient population includes laboring mothers and neonates
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:30 to 08:00
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- No on-call requirement
- Floating within scope to other units as needed
- Uses Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos charting systems
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Orientation on first day with manager interview possible
- Hospital is accessible via multiple public transportation options
- Parking available at daily, weekly, or monthly rates
- Maximum of one time off request during contract
- Hospital-provided scrubs required as dress code
- Two professional references required for consideration
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Locals accepted for this position
- No pending licenses accepted
