Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring at least one year of inpatient Med/Surg experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Responsibilities

Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital
Care for general Med/Surg patient population
Telemetry is monitored in a centralized location
Night shifts with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules
Free-floating charge nurse and a house discharge nurse support the unit
First time travelers are accepted
No travel pairs or groups will be considered
No more than three days of requested time off will be approved; no time off permitted in the first week of orientation

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum one year of inpatient Med/Surg experience required
Epic charting experience required
Locals within a 50 mile radius are not eligible
Former permanent staff must have been gone at least one year before returning as a traveler
