Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN in California with a CA RN license, 2 years of Cath Lab experience, and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position located in a Cath Lab within an acute care hospital setting
• Daily caseload typically ranges from 8 to 12 procedures
• Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker placements
• Shifts are 4x10 hours, days, from 6:30 to 19:00
• Weekend shifts and on-call responsibilities are required
• No floating required within the facility, but travelers may be expected to float to other facilities within the state
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Orientation consists of 30 hours
• Primary responsibilities include assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular procedures as well as permanent pacemaker insertions
• Cath Lab scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking available on the first day with assignment parking provided during orientation
• RTO (requested time off) must be approved at time of application
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• The facility will help travelers find housing if needed
• Position is located within driving distance to multiple state and national parks

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, and Flouro Permit; RCIS only is not accepted
• Willingness to consider candidates with a pending Flouro Permit if application is already submitted
• At least two supervisory references from the past three years in a comparable setting are required for consideration
• First-time travelers are accepted
