Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a short-term acute care hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 285-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Coverage includes floors such as ICU, step down, oncology, medical, surgical, neuro/tele, and ortho units
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and possible holiday coverage
• No floating outside of assigned acute care units
• EPIC is used for charting, and experience may be required for certain units
• Primary responsibilities include providing therapeutic treatments across multiple hospital settings
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub color is pewter
• No on-call requirement
• Orientation modules are completed pre-start, with up to 16 hours of compensation
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, then must take a 3-month break

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy (PT) license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of acute hospital experience required across various inpatient units
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required for certain units
• Ability to handle multi-unit coverage and provide daily treatments
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Up to 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Valid state license required at the time of consideration
