Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and BLS for a Level III Trauma acute care hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a CT department performing high quality CT exams on patient populations from newborns to geriatrics
• Setting includes inpatient, outpatient (Friday only), emergency room, and scheduled interventional cases (Friday only)
• Shift schedule is Friday through Sunday, 3x12 hour days, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• On-call rotation Monday through Thursday, every 4-5 weeks, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM to support overnight or high-volume situations
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities
• Uses Epic as the preferred EMR (Epic experience preferred)
• Facility is a Level III Trauma, acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
• Duties include inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, and scheduled interventional CT procedures
• First-time travelers are accepted
• All requested time off must be included at the time of application and is subject to approval based on facility needs
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel pay; locals are accepted on a case-by-case basis at a different rate
• Applicants must provide a valid driver’s license and Social Security card for consideration
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
• Pre-employment online modules must be completed prior to start
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience required
• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology or completion of student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation
• Must have current ARRT (CT), BLS (AHA), and SCRQSA (CT)
• South Carolina state license required and must be active at time of start (license required if applicable)
• Ability to start IVs and administer contrast media required
• Experience performing CT-guided biopsies and use of PACS required
• Radiation badge must be provided by the agency
• Epic charting experience preferred
