Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 3+ years of acute care experience for an inpatient rehabilitation team working with adults and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient, acute care hospital setting
• Patients are adults and geriatrics with neurological and amputee cases
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours Sunday through Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
• At least one weekend day per month required
• Part of a multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, and SLP
• Patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy, 5 days per week
• CARF-accredited program for general, stroke, and amputee rehabilitation
• Collaborate with a large, supportive, and high-performing multidisciplinary rehab team
• Work in a fast-paced hospital environment with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a local rate
• Flexible assignment length of 13 to 26 weeks available

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• 3 years of inpatient and acute care OT experience required
• Experience with neurological conditions including stroke or brain impairment required; spinal cord and amputee experience preferred
• State OT license required to start; pending license accepted if active by start date
• First-time travelers are accepted with required experience
• License required if applicable
