Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 3 years of inpatient and acute care experience for a CARF-accredited inpatient rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Position in a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation and acute care hospital setting
• Works with adult and geriatric populations
• Multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, and SLP
• CARF-accredited program focusing on general, stroke, and amputee rehabilitation
• 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:30am-4:00pm Sunday through Thursday
• At least one weekend day per month is required
• Patients receive a minimum of 3 hours of therapy, 5 out of 7 days per week
• Open to 13 or 26 week contract lengths
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted
• Work as part of a large, collaborative rehabilitation team
• Supportive work environment with a strong focus on teamwork and patient care excellence
• Participation in a CARF accredited program for stroke, amputee, and general rehabilitation
• All time off requests must be provided at time of application

Requirements

• Active state OT license required to start (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient and acute care OT experience
• Experience with neurological patients (stroke/brain impairment required; spinal cord and amputee experience preferred)
• First-time travelers considered with appropriate experience
