Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Transplant ICU night shift role requiring strong critical care and ventilator management skills.

Details

• Transplant/Oncology ICU setting (10-bed unit)
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Equipment used includes ventilators, CRRT, A-line, BiPAP, and Flow-track monitoring
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Shift schedule is 7:00PM to 7:00AM with rotating weekends
• Floating required to all ICUs, PCU, and BMT units

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification required for BMT ICU placement
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Strong ICU experience including titrating drips and managing ventilated patients required
• Experience with BiPAP patients required
• CRRT experience preferred
• Transplant experience (kidney, pancreas, liver) preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide total care for critically ill patients including turning, dressing changes, and trach care
• Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Compassionate, team-oriented personality valued
• Blue scrubs required
• Report times align with shift start/end at 0645/1845
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
