Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of hospital-based CT and Radiology Tech experience and current Ohio license, ARRT, and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital setting working as a multi-modality technologist in at least two imaging areas such as CT and X-ray
• Shifts are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM on weekdays and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekends, with every other weekend and holiday required
• Daily caseload averages 3 patients per hour and may fluctuate depending on staffing
• Expected to perform procedures using GE CT and X-ray equipment
• Preferred experience working with ED patient populations
• Position may require on-call coverage as scheduled
• Utilizes Epic EHR, PACS, and RIS systems
• Must be able to operate multi-modality imaging equipment according to established protocols
• Primary duties include performing imaging procedures in CT and an additional imaging modality according to provider orders and safety regulations
• Responsible for obtaining and documenting patient clinical history and relevant lab work for interpretation
• Expected to administer contrast, perform venipuncture, and use a power injector as needed for imaging procedures
• Must apply radiation safety principles and maintain patient identification protocols
• Work environment involves frequent interaction with ED patients and requires flexibility with caseload changes
• Scrubs or dress code requirements will be provided by the hospital
• Holiday and every other weekend coverage required
• Position accepts local candidates, with applicable pay adjustment
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Radiology Tech experience and 2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting required
• Ohio Radiologic License, ARRT, and BLS required; CT registry highly preferred
• Ability to perform and be competent in two imaging modalities, such as CT and X-ray
• Associate’s degree from an ARRT accredited program or approved School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography preferred
• Familiarity with Epic, PACS, and RIS systems preferred
• Experience with IV contrast administration preferred
• Must pass EKG testing on first day, with two attempts provided
• License required if applicable
