Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a Level II Trauma Center using Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care setting within a 200-bed Level II Trauma and Stroke Center
• Perform diagnostic CT scans for hospital and clinic patients including ortho, vascular, cardiac, and neuro studies
• Equipment includes Toshiba Aquilion One, Siemens Definition Edge, Vital Fx Workstation, Tera Recon, and SyngoVia
• PACS system is McKesson and EMR is EpicCare Inpatient (Epic/Radiant)
• Variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage as assigned
• Typical schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts; 12-hour weekend shifts may be assigned
• On-call coverage may be required, including overnight call
• No floating to other units required
• Responsibilities include producing quality CT images, following general CT protocols, and exercising professional judgment in the performance of procedures
• Interact effectively with patients and healthcare team while providing for patient care and initiating life support measures as needed
• Work with patients of all age groups
• Two-week orientation provided at the start of assignment
• Gray scrubs are required
• All staff must badge in and out each shift
• This position does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles
• Applicants who have previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a CT Technologist
• Current ARRT (CT) certification required
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
• Current BLS (CPR) certification
• Licensed in the State of North Dakota by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board; license required if applicable
• Demonstrated knowledge of CT scanners, cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, and 3D post processing techniques for ortho, vascular, cardiac, and neuro studies
• Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
