Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and at least 2 years of CT experience for a Level II trauma hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based computerized tomography (CT) unit in a Level II Trauma Center
- Shifts are 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend required
- No block schedule or on-call responsibility
- Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
- Utilize PACS and RIS systems for imaging and radiology information management
- May work in fixed units or ambulatory mobile units, dependent on operational needs
- 13-week contract with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Duties include performing CT scans, preparing and monitoring patients, administering IV contrast, and assisting with complex diagnostic procedures
- Responsible for PACS image review and radiology documentation to support clinical and billing needs
- Must complete required online modules on-site and achieve passing scores prior to start date
- Demonstrated teamwork, flexibility, and respect for diversity are expected
- Exposure risk to radiation and contagious patients; must follow safety protocols
- Travelers may be required to complete background check and drug screen using designated vendor, with firm deadlines for documentation
- Every other weekend coverage is required; no holiday specifics provided
Requirements
- Active ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Active MI license required for consideration; license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years recent CT experience required
- High school diploma or GED required; must maintain ongoing continuing medical education hours
- Must possess strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift/move equipment and/or patients in excess of 10 lbs
- COVID vaccination is mandatory
