Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor and Delivery position requiring NRP, C-EFM, and STABLE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit at a hospital setting
• High-risk L&D patient population
• Day shift: 3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Call required: 36 hours in 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period with a 45-minute onsite response time
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Float required within skillset, including to Mom/Baby and postpartum units
• Locals within 60 miles are accepted
• Duties include L&D nursing for high-risk populations and supporting related units as needed
• Modules must be completed pre-start and may be required during orientation
• First time travelers are accepted
• Applicants must be prepared for the possibility of no formal interview process
• Compliance with dress code and holiday shift requirements is expected

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: NRP, STABLE, C-EFM, ACLS, and BLS (all required prior to start)
• Minimum of 2 years recent L&D experience with high-risk cases
• Skills required: Circulation, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), precepting and/or charge responsibilities
• Triage experience preferred
• AWHONN certification preferred
• Two supervisory references required
• Return staff must have a 1-year gap from previous employment with the health system
