Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and current BLS and ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification.

Responsibilities

Position is based in a large teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma and Magnet status
Work overnight shifts Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
No call required
May float between Main Hospital and ART locations within scope of practice
Daily caseload per technologist varies
Proficiency in abdominal doppler imaging required
Utilizes Epic EMR system; experience with Epic is preferred
Scrub attire is teal tops and black bottoms
Role may involve assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June to November)
Modules must be completed pre-start and typically require about 4 hours
All requested time off (RTO) must be declared before assignment; approval based on facility needs
Candidates local within 60 miles may be considered at a lower local rate
Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Parking is available during nights and weekends only for a one-time fee
Teal and black scrub color required

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience as an ultrasound technologist
Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Current BLS and ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required
Must be proficient in abdominal doppler imaging
First-time travelers must have prior assignment experience unless coming from a large teaching facility
Social Security Card and Driver's License required for consideration
License required if applicable
