Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an ARRT Registered CT Technologist for a weekend night shift assignment requiring at least two years of experience and VA licensure or proof of application.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a CT department with 3 rooms handling approximately 130 visits per day
• Work involves operating GE or Siemens scanners and using PACS systems
• Procedures handled include Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest, and Head scans with and without contrast, Brain perfusion, Multiplanar Reconstruction, Vascular CTA, Cervical and Lumbar exams, Musculoskeletal trauma, and Thoracic imaging
• Night shift schedule: Friday through Sunday, 19:00 to 07:00 (3x12 hour shifts)
• May require floating in rotation with client staff according to facility policy
• EPIC charting experience is preferred; online EPIC class is completed as part of initial training
• No on-call required for CT Technologists
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• All new hires complete an online EPIC class specific to radiology CT on the unit unless previous recent experience at the facility allows exemption
• Scrub color is grey
• Smoke and nicotine free work environment is strictly enforced
• The flu vaccine is required during flu season, with exemption requests reviewed per CMS guidelines
• Float assignments, if required, follow facility and Joint Commission standards
• Holiday coverage may be required
• Time off requests should be minimal and must be submitted prior to assignment approval

Requirements

• ARRT Registered CT Technologist
• Active VA license or proof of application and active license from another state (license required if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience
• Current BLS certification
• Experience operating GE or Siemens CT scanners
• Familiarity with PACS required
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Compliance with flu and COVID-19 vaccination requirements
