Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT, BLS, and at least 1 year of acute care experience to join a Level 2 trauma team.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care setting within the radiology department
- The facility has 7 treatment areas supporting inpatient, outpatient, OR, and ER patients from pediatrics through geriatrics
- High-volume department, averaging 70-80 scans and 5-15 OR cases per day
- Procedures include radiography, portable imaging, C-arm, fluoroscopy, and coverage of busy OR and high-volume ER
- Uses Epic EMR (Citrix) for charting--Epic experience is preferred
- Equipment includes OEC C-arms, Medtronic O-arm, Fuji general and portable, and Siemens fluoro
- Shifts are 8 or 12 hours, with variable start times across days and nights; weekends required every 3rd weekend with a day shift and night call rotation
- Call required 1-2 weekdays per week and during scheduled weekends with 20-30 minute response time
- Floating to cover inpatient, outpatient, OR, and ER radiology as needed
- Primary duties include performing diagnostic imaging procedures across modalities for diverse patient populations
- Department features a supportive team environment with supervisors and coordinators present on day shift
- Clinical and Epic EMR training provided during a 1.5-2 week orientation period
- Family-oriented department culture with a collaborative team approach
- Scrubs are provided for all staff
- Holiday coverage may be required as needed
- RTO (requested time off) allowance is up to 7 days per 13-week contract, must be submitted up front; additional time off not approved after assignment begins
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility and cannot have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting
- Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Active North Dakota state license required; license required if applicable
- Must have C-arm experience; O-arm experience preferred but will train if needed
- Experience with portable imaging and fluoroscopy is required
- Must provide two professional references: one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years
- Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
