Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Extended Care/Long Term Care position, requiring a current MT or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an Extended Care unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population consists primarily of long-term care and extended care residents
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Utilizes the Epic EMR for documentation, and EMR experience is required
• Responsibilities include holistic assessment, direct patient care, care planning, and interdisciplinary coordination for long-term care residents
• Supervises and evaluates performance of assigned C.N.A. staff members
• Role involves documenting and addressing resident education, discharge planning, medication administration, and emergency management
• Applicants who have been permanent staff at Intermountain facilities must have a separation of at least one year before being eligible
• All required health screenings and background checks must be completed by set deadlines; compliance with DS/lab testing timelines is strictly enforced

Requirements

• Active RN license in MT or a compact state is required
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN) from an accredited school
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required and must not expire before start
• At least one year of recent experience in long-term/extended care or relevant specialty
• Ability to meet physical demands, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting over 100 lbs
