Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position with night shifts and a Missouri or compact license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work in a telemetry (PCU) unit at an acute care hospital
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratios are 1:5-6
• Weekend requirement is two shifts every other weekend, with specific days depending on current rotation
• Floating within scope to other telemetry units as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Navy scrubs required
• No on-call requirement for this position
• No restrictions on approved time off, except limited to 7 days per 13-week contract and not allowed during the first week of orientation
• Holiday coverage may be required per hospital staffing needs
• Travelers can remain for up to 18 months, with a break required thereafter
• Free onsite parking is available
• Paid training modules are completed during pre-start orientation

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required or pending at time of consideration
• 2 years of relevant telemetry or PCU nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required for certain units
• First time travelers will be considered
• Must reside outside of a 75-mile radius from the facility
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
