Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Behavioral Health position requiring an active OR RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Pediatric Behavioral Health unit within a short-term acute care setting
• Night shift with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient ratios are 1:5 on evening shifts and 1:10 on night shifts
• Every other weekend shifts required
• Floating to other units and facilities based on skillset and staffing needs is mandatory
• Must have a vehicle for assignment and travel between facilities as needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• Scrub color is any color; specialized scrubs provided for certain units
• Responsibilities include providing specialized nursing care to pediatric behavioral health patients
• Travelers must be prepared to float between multiple facilities within the state as needed
• Hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursement are provided when floating to certain designated facilities for consecutive shifts
• Minimal to no requested time off permitted, and any specific scheduling requests must be communicated up front
• Parking is provided at no cost
• All travelers are expected to adapt to varying team structures and support levels

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent pediatric behavioral health RN experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must provide at least 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Current BLS certification required
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this opportunity
• Former employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live at least 50 miles from the facility
