Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN with pediatric emergency and telemetry skills for a night shift position in a pediatric emergency department, requiring a current MA RN license and 2+ years of recent acute pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a pediatric emergency department treating patients from newborn to age 22
- Department includes up to 16 treatment areas with additional psych, observation, and urgent care spaces
- Night shift schedule is 7:00pm to 7:00am with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage is required
- Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Experience with Level I Trauma cases is preferred
- Care for a diverse pediatric patient population in a high acuity emergency setting
- Must be able to manage caseloads in multiple specialized areas within the department
- Monthly parking fees may apply

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute pediatric emergency department experience required
- Ability to read and independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks is required
- Must pass a telemetry test on day one with a score of 85% or better
- At least 18 months of specialty experience required
- Level I Trauma hospital experience required
- Current certifications required as outlined for emergency nursing roles
- Completion of the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B is required
- Two professional references required, including one from a manager with a recent performance evaluation
